Head of Finance

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • - Develop and execute the company's financial strategy, aligning it with the overall business objectives and growth plans.
  • - Oversee all financial operations, including financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • - Drive financial analysis, providing insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
  • - Ensure the company's financial stability and growth by managing cash flow, monitoring expenses, and optimizing working capital.
  • - Establish and maintain strong internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • - Lead fundraising efforts, including investor relations, preparing financial models, participating in capital raising activities, and maintaining relationships with investors.
  • - Manage compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements, ensuring adherence to accounting standards and legal obligations.
  • - Oversee the accounting function, including financial statements preparation, tax compliance, and coordination with auditors.
  • - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive financial efficiency, support business objectives, and ensure financial transparency.
  • - Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and changes in accounting standards, ensuring compliance and mitigating financial risks.
  • - Drive financial due diligence and support business development initiatives, including potential partnerships and acquisitions.
  • - Conduct a detailed risk analysis to assess potential investment opportunities and advise management on risks
  • - Perform month-end and year-end close processes.
  • - Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
  • - Ensure timely and accurate reporting of accounting information system to strengthen efficiency.
  • - Perform an internal audit to substantiate financial statements and transactions.
  • - Comply with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.

Head of Finance

  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
  • - Financial stability: Ensure the company's financial health and stability through effective financial management, liquidity, and profitability.
  • - Fundraising success: Secure necessary funding and investment to support the company's growth plans and strategic initiatives.
  • - Financial reporting accuracy: Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, adhering to accounting standards and regulations.
  • - Cost control and efficiency: Implement cost-effective strategies and processes to optimize expenses and improve financial efficiency.
  • - Investor relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with investors and key stakeholders, providing transparent and accurate financial information.
  • - Compliance adherence: Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and reporting requirements.
  • Qualifications:
  • - Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. An MBA or CPA qualification is preferred.
  • - Proven experience as a Head of Finance or in a senior financial leadership role within the lifestyle, hospitality, or technology industry.
  • - Strong financial acumen, with a solid understanding of financial planning, analysis, budgeting, and reporting.
  • - Demonstrated experience in fundraising, investor relations, and capital raising activities.
  • - Excellent knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and financial management best practices.
  • - Strategic thinker with the ability to provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions.
  • - Proactive problem solver with exceptional analytical and critical-thinking skills.
  • - Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and manage a finance team.
  • - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • - Experience in startups or high-growth environments is highly desirable.
